1/2 c. chopped onion
6 oz. hot italian sausage
1 small bunch broccoli spears (peel stalks if tough)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 can cannellini beans, drained & rinsed
1 can clams, drained, liquid reserved (rinse clams if they're gritty)
4 T. grated parmesan cheese

Here is how you make Ragout of Broccolini, Beans, Clams, and Sausage:

Cook onion and sausage in olive oil over high heat for 2-3 minutes, breaking sausage into small pieces. Add clam liquid and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, wash and cut broccoli spears into 1" pieces. Add to pan with garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes and return to a boil. Cover and simmer gently 4-5 minutes, till broccoli is tender crisp. Add beans and clams; mix well and return to simmer.
