2 stalks celery, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1 can stewed tomatoes
3.5 cups beef broth
1 cup water (add or subtract as needed)
2-3 cloves garlic, finely diced
1 palmful (about 2 tbsp) dried basil

Throw all ingredients into crockpot, set on high, for 2-4 hours. Reduce heat to low and let cook for another 4-6 hours.Freezes well. If you would like to add noodles, remove any portion that you will be freezing, and only cook the noodles in the portion you are planning to eat at that setting. They don't freeze well and get mushy otherwise!
