The ingredients for Cannelloni are:

1 lb ground beef (calorie count is for 80/20 b/c it is all I had feel free to use lean beef and adjust counts)
bay leaf
3/4 c pasta sauce
1 pkg manicotti or cannelloni shells
4 1/2 tsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
garlic to taste (I used 1 tsp)
1/4 c parmesean cheese, fresh grated
salt and pepper to taste


How Do I Make Cannelloni?

Here is how you make Cannelloni:

Brown meat with bay leaf. Drain. Stir in sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes. While the meat is simmering boil pasta until al dente. Puree meat. Place meat in ziploc bag and snip off a corner. Pipe meat into shells. Place filled shells in a baking dish. Cover with Bechamel sauce. Top with parmesean. Put under broiler until browned and bubbly.Bechamel sauce: Whisk arrowroot (you can use cornstarch instead if you prefer) with 1/2 c of milk until smooth. Whisk in remaining cup of milk. Add garlic to taste. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for 12 minutes or until the mixture is hot. Raise heat to medium, let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
