1. Dice garlic and onions2. Cut pork shoulder into roughly 6 smaller pieces3. Sautee in large sauce pot until translucent, remove to bowl4. Brown all sides of pork in same pan, remove to plate5. Pour chicken broth into pan and stir with flat bottom spatula to get all brown bits off the pan6. Add back in your onions, garlic, and meat7. Once brought to a gentle boil, reduce to a light simmer and cover for 3 hours or until fork tender8. Preheat oven to 3509. Shred pork and put in a large baking dish10. Add liquid until the dish is about half full11. Bake in oven until liquid is nearly gone, or until carnitas reach desired crispiness12.
