I use one bag of dried beans. Soak over night. Drain water. Rinse beans and then put more water on top. Then put ham with meat in pot cook on low until meat falls off of bone. Remove bone put chopped onion in pot. Last hour put tomatoes both cans in pot. Serve with crackers or corn bread.
