2 T olive oil
1 garlic clove, diced
1/4 c reduced sodium soy sauce
1/4 c red wine (reduced sodium chicken or beef broth works too)
2 T brown sugar
1/4 t crushed red pepper flakes
2 - 8 oz. packages mushrooms, chopped into halves or quarters
1 small onion, chopped
2 T cornstarch
2 T cold water

Here is how you make San Francisco Crock Pot Chops:

In a skillet brown pork chops on both sides in the oil; transfer pork chops to crock pot and add onion and mushrooms on top of chops. Add garlic to drippings in skillet; cook and stir for about 1 minute or until golden. Stir in soy sauce, wine, brown sugar and red pepper flakes; cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over chops. Cover and cook for 7-8 hours on low or 4-5 on high (it depends on how thick your chops are) or until tender.Remove chops, combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth, gradually stir unto crock pot. Return chops to crock pot; cover and cook for at least 30 minutes or until sauce is slightly thicker.Serve over brown rice.Serving Size:?makes 4 servings
