* 3 tablespoons butter
* 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 2 1/2 cups milk, skim
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 cups old cheddar cheese, grated, low fat
* 2 cups diced cooked chicken or ham, lean
* 3/4 cup frozen corn
* 1/3 cup green onion, thinly sliced
* 1/3 cup salsa


How Do I Make Tex Mex Fusilli?

Here is how you make Tex Mex Fusilli:

Cook Pasta according to package directions.Meanwhile, in a medium sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat.Stir in flour until blended.Gradually whisk in Milk and salt, making sure there are no lumps.Stir and bring to a boil.Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 1 minute.Reduce heat to low, add cheese a handful at a time, stirring until melted.Stir in chicken or ham, corn, green onions and salsa; heat through.To serve, drain pasta; turn into a large bowl.Toss sauce with pasta and add extra salsa, if desired.Serve with a green salad, or veggie sticks.Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user HAG-CHEF.
