How Do I Make No-Noodle Goulash?

Here is how you make No-Noodle Goulash:

Brown the meat and saute the chopped onion and minced garlic in the olive oil. Add the seasonings. Slice/chop the cabbage (I like to make it so the pieces are kinda of noodle shaped/sized!)Dump cabbage into the pot and cover. Once cabbage has softened a little, stir to mix flavors. Add 1/4 cup or so of water to aid with cooking process. Cut bell peppers. (I like to chop them in slices like for fajitas)Slice mushrooms if using. When cabbage has started to "wilt" a little, add the rest of the veggies. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until veggies reach desired texture.(NOTE: The dish is great as it is, but if you're NOT as worried about calories, adding a dollop of fat-free sour cream can really add to the flavor!)Serving Size: makes about 10 to 12 servings of 1-to-2-cupsNumber of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user RALIGH.
