Beat butter until creamy, add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition. Gently fold in the sweet potato puree and the milk. Add flour mixture and blend well. Divide batter among the muffin cups. Bake until muffins are puffed and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean about 20 minutes.
