How Do I Make Grandma's Apple Cake?

Here is how you make Grandma's Apple Cake:

Preheat oven to 350 F and lightly grease a 9x9 baking pan.Cut up apples and mix with brown sugar and a sprinkle of salt; set aside.In a mixing bowl, mix eggs, apple sauce, vanilla, white sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add apple mixture. Put in greased pan and sprinkle with chopped walnuts and cinnamon. Bake for 40 minutes.Note: you can use brown sugar for the entire recipe, or substitute with sweeteners. You can also use 4 egg whites or 0.5 cup egg beaters instead of eggs.
