Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In mixing bowl, mix butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. In another bowl, combine all but .25 cups of the cake flour with baking powder and salt. Add the flour mixture in 3 parts to the egg mixture in the blender, blending after each part, and adding the buttermilk after the first two additions of flour. End with the last flour mixture. Combine the remaining .25 cake flour with the peaches. With mixer at the lowest speed, add the peaches just until mixed. Pour into sprayed (oil + flour) pans and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes, checking for doneness. Each large loaf can be sliced into 8 pieces and each small loaf into 5.
