Here is how you make Shoo Fly Cake:

Sift together flour, salt, and cinnamon. Mix in brown sugar. Cut in shortening until in fine crumbs. Reserve 1 1/4 C crumbs for topping. Combine water, molasses and baking soda in sauce pan. Add to remaining crumbs. Pour into greased 9x13 pan or 2 loaf pans and top with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes a very thick cake.
