In a small mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Add egg, mix well. Add vanilla extract, mix well. If adding optional chocolate chips, stir in now. Spray Pam or other cooking spray in to three Corelle mugs (or one larger microwavable dish - cooks a little long if in one container... about 3 minutes at 1000 watts). Be aware that it will raise.... as it cooks... My 1300 watt microwave took 2 minutes. (EVERY MICROWAVE IS DIFFERENT... ON COOK TIMES...)Allow to cool a little and add one scoop of ice cream in the warm cup or tip it on to a fancy dish... EAT and Enjoy!!!.... You and two friends can enjoy warm chocolate cake and ....
