Here is how you make Lemon Thyme Sorbet:

Makes 5 1/2 cup servingsMix the sugar and water in a saucepan on the stovetop just to boiling. Remove from the heat. Add the sprigs of Thyme or Lemon thyme preferred and the lemon zest. Let set 15-20 minutes for flavors to blend. Add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and let cool to room temperature, transfer to plastic container and refrigerate overnight/. Freeze according to the manufacturers directions for your ice cream freezer. The sorbet will be soft when finished. You can transfer to a freezer container and freeze for another hour or two before serving if you prefer a harder consistencyThis can be frozen in a plastic container.
