I looked at other recipes for sloppy joes and messed with different ingredients until it was to my liking. My father in law, who HATES ground turkey was shocked when I told him he was eatin' it. They turned out GOOD!! If you drain and rinse the beans it gets rid of a little sodium. You could substitute ro-tel, but the red gold is cheaper and contains less sodium. We ate them on Pepperidge Farms Deli Flats 100% Whole Wheat which adds 100 calories. I also threw a slice of reduced sodium Provolone cheese on mine. Yum Yum.
