Here is how you make Italian kale and white beans:

Cut the potatoes into small pieces, about 1 inch cubes. Boil for ten minutes until just barely tender. Drain and set aside.Dice and saute the onions in the oil using a large lidded skillet, at least 12 inches. Once the onions are translucent, add the garlic and continue to cook until the garlic is fragrant. Add the damp kale to the onions and garlic and stir. Add the herbs and beer and cover with the lid; cook over medium-low for about 10 minutes, or until the kale is almost as tender as you prefer it. Add remaining ingredients and cook until everything is warmed through, about five minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and hot chili flakes as desired. Serve over homemade polenta and sprinkle with good, fresh parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast (not included in nutrition information).
