1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
3 - 4 splashes Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste

2 cups beef stock
2 teaspoons corn starch (corn flour)

1 kg potatoes, cubed
2 tablespoons mayonnaise with honey mustard (combine 2 tablespoons mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard)
1 tablespoon butter (optional)
salt and pepper

Here is how you make Beef cottage pie - gluten free:

Heat olive oil in a large wok, add the onions and cook until slightly softened. Add the peas and sweetcorn and cook a further 3 - 4 minutes. Add the beef, rosemary, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir together. Season to taste. Heat the beef stock in a saucepan. Mix the corn starch (corn flour in the UK) with a small amount of cold water to make a thin paste. Add that to the beef stock and bring up to a boil while stirring constantly. Let boil for 3 - 4 minutes until thickened. Season to taste. Stir enough gravy into the meat mixture to make a wet mix. Transfer to a casserole dish. Boil the potatoes until cooked. Dry mash. Add the mayo with whole grain mustard and stir together. Top the meat with the potato mash. Seal around the edges. Dredge a fork along the top to make ridge marks. Season with salt and pepper and dot with butter if desired.
