The ingredients for Beef Stew - Traditional are:

1 lb. Lean Stew Meat
1/3 cup flour
few sprays of cooking spray
2 med onions
1 tsp minced garlic
2 cups hot water
2 beef bouillon
3 cups total of V8 Juice and/or canned diced tomatoes
5 medium carrots (2 1/2 cups)
6 medium potatoes (6 cups)
1 more cup of water
salt
pepper
bay leaf
tsp Mrs. Dash blend



How Do I Make Beef Stew - Traditional?

Here is how you make Beef Stew - Traditional:

Heat large frying pan over medium heat. Pour flour in a bowl and add stew pieces cut into desired bite sizes. Shake to coat. Spray pan with cooking spray and braise meat pieces, just searing on a few sides. Add meat to crock pot. Saute onions and garlic in same pan, add a few more sprays of cooking spray. Mean while, add bouillons to hot water. When onions are done add them to the crock pot and use bouillon water to deglaze the pan. Then just add all remaining ingredients to crock pot. Cook for 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. Not sure about serving size, just split into 6 even servings.
