What Are The Ingredients For Classic Beef Stew Recipe?The ingredients for Classic Beef Stew are: * Pepper, black, 0.5 tsp* Olive Oil, 1 tbsp * Carrots, raw, 0.5 cup, chopped * Garlic, 1 clove * Mushrooms, fresh, 0.5 cup, slices * Onions, raw, 1 medium * Potato, raw, 4 medium * Beef, top sirloin, 6 oz * Flour, white, 0.25 cup * Worcestershire Sauce, 1 tsp * Swanson beef broth, 4 cup How Do I Make Classic Beef Stew?Here is how you make Classic Beef Stew: Coat meat with flour, reserve any remaining flour for later. In a dutch over or Large sauce pan add oil and garlic, heat to medium and add meat. Remove the meat once it has browned and set it aside. In the same pan add your onion (add oil if needed) and cook till tender. Then add remaining flour (left over from coating the meat) stir well with onion. Now add the broth, Worcestershire sauce and pepper, stir until thick. Add meat, heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2+ hours (at this point you can put it into a crock pot as long as you want). About 1 hour before dinner, add potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. Heat to a slow boil, cover and simmer till potatoes are tender. Serve. Serving size is about 1 cup.
