How Do I Make Beef Stroganoff - The Healthier Version?

Here is how you make Beef Stroganoff - The Healthier Version:

In a large stew pot, bring water to a boil for elbow pasta. Cook according to the package directions. Remove from the heat, drain. Set aside. In a large skillet, over medium heat, brown the ground turkey with the Onion soup powder seasoning mix - dry, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and carrots. Cook until the turkey is completely cooked. As the Turkey cooks, break apart large portions into a medium coarse texture...like taco meat. Now add in the condensed mushroom soup and water and stir until well incorporated. When it begins to bubble again... Add in the drained noodles and stir well to coat the pasta. Remove from the heat. It is ready to serve, but...Just before serving, stir in the sour cream. (If you add in the sour cream while over the heat,it will break down and separate...it is edible but looks funky!)Note: My children hated carrots, so I've always used a small jar of baby carrots...that is the secret ingredient. They never knew.Serving Size: Makes about 5, 1-cup servingsNumber of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user TEXASBUSYMOM5.
