In the mean time, brown the ground beef with the salt and pepper in a large skillet until done. Drain to eliminate fat. Return meat to pan and add the can of soup. Drain mushrooms and cut any large ones in pieces. Add to the skillet with the beef and soup mixture. You may want to add just a bit of water to thin the sauce out a little. When macaroni is done, drain the water off, but don't rinse it. Add to the rest of the ingredients and stir together.
