1 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 c Chopped Onion
3 Cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
1 c Vegetable Broth
1 1/2 c Water
2 T Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce
2 c Whole Wheat Egg Noodles, (Dry)
2 oz (1/4 c) Fat Free Cream Cheese, Softened
1/4 c Fat Free Sour Cream
2 T Fresh Flat-Leaf Parsley, Chopped
Black Pepper to Taste


How Do I Make Smoky Faux Beef Stroganoff?

Here is how you make Smoky Faux Beef Stroganoff:

Heat a (very) large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1/2 the olive oil and the Faux Ground Beef, and heat through, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned - about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl, and reduce the heat to medium.To the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown - 8 to 10 minutes. Add the cooked mushrooms to the bowl with the Faux Beef. Add the remaining oil and onion to the skillet and continue to cook until the onion is lightly browned - about 10 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for one minute more.Add the broth, water, and the Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and stir in the pasta. Cover and cook until the noodles are just al dente - about 6 to 8 minutes. Uncover, stir in the reserved beef and mushrooms until heated through.Remove from heat and stir in the cream cheese, sour cream, chopped parsley and pepper until the cream cheese melts and the sauce is creamy. Divide among 6 bowls. Serve Hot.Serving Size:?Makes (5) 1-Cup Servings
