Sautee celery, onions, and carrots in oil in large dutch oven over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, stir chicken base into 12 cups water until well mixed, and add to pot. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for an hour and a half. Add chicken, and cook another 15 minutes. Add macaroni, and cook another 15 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
