20 oz Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast
14.5 oz can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes, undrained and crushed
3-5.5 oz cans of V-8 Juice
1 cup chopped onion
4 oz can chopped green chiles
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cans (15 oz each) red kidney beans, drained
How Do I Make Zesty Chili?
Here is how you make Zesty Chili:1. Place the cumin seeds in a 4 quart nonstick pot (do not coat with cooking spray or oil) and place over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant and toasted~about 30-60 seconds. Pour into a small dish and set aside.2. Coat the pot with nonstick spray, add ground turkey, and place over medium heat. Cook, stirring to crumble, until meat is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.3. Add the cumin, tomatoes, vegetable juice, onions, chiles, chili powder, garlic, oregano, and cinnamon to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.4. Add the beans to the pot. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the onions are soft and the flavors are well blended.
