1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
dash of salt and pepper
2 teaspoons of light butter spread divided
2 slices of multi-grain
Pam spray
1/4 cup of onion slivers
1 slice light swiss cheese
1 slice light cheddar cheese


How Do I Make Patty Melt?

Here is how you make Patty Melt:

Mash beef into a flat patty that is slightly wider than slices of bread. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Place in fridge while you prepare onions to help keep shape as it cooks. Place a nonstick skillet on medium heat and spray with cooking spray. Add onions and cook until tender but not brown. Place onions to the side until burger is cooked. Turn skillet to medium high place patty in non stick skillet. Cook at least 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness is reached then add patty to plate with onions and cover to keep them warm. Place 1 slice of buttered bread in nonstick pan on medium heat top with swiss cheese. Place second slice of buttered bread in pan and cover with cheddar cheese. Place patty and onions on one slice till cheese is melted and bread is browned then put sandwich together and press down with spatula. serve immediately.
