Oil will sizzle and may splatter, so be careful!!Add the burghul to the saucepan, bring back to boiling, cover and reduce heat. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the lentils and burghul are soft. Add the salt.The mixture should be thick, like pudding, but not dry. If too thick, add some water. If too thin, boil uncovered for a few more minutes.
