1/2 box pasta
4 slices bacon
2 Tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, lightly crushed
1/4 c diced onion
2 beaten eggs
1 Tbsp parsely
1/4 c parmesan
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder


How Do I Make Pasta Carbonara?

Here is how you make Pasta Carbonara:

Start water for pasta. While waiting for it to come to a boil and start the pasta cooking, fry bacon in a pan. Remove bacon from pan to drain/cool, and crumble. Keep the bacon grease in the pan! Add butter to same pan. Saute onion and garlic cloves over medium heat until soft, but stop short of caramelizing. Discard garlic. It will look very buttery/liquidy, but this is the base of the sauce so it's OK. While pasta is cooking and bacon is frying, lightly beat 2 eggs. Stir in parsely, parmesan, pepper, salt, garlic powder and onion powder.Put cooked pasta in a bowl. Add egg mixture and stir rapidly to avoid egg scrambling. Add bacon and onion mixture.
