* Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
* Garlic, 1 clove (remove)

* Mashed Potatoes, 2 cup (remove)

How Do I Make Lamb Shepards Pie?

Here is how you make Lamb Shepards Pie:

First off id like to say the 3 garlic cloves, butter and some salt and pepper is for the mash. Boil the gloves with the potatoes (this adds a mellow garlic back ground, iv gone as high as 6 cloves and still this did not over power it) Also the milk can be cream or full fat. Up to you. Also. Ground beef is fine. Though the capsicum is there for the lamb. Match made in heaven! :-)Dice onion, carrot and capsicum finely.Peel (if needed) potatoes and chop for mash. Crush the 3 garlic cloves and put both in pot of water (salt water once boiling). Add oil to pan and begin to cook onions (add pinch of salt to sweat them). Add crushed, grated or finely diced 1 clove of garlic, cook for a moment then add the ground lamb and cook till brown. Add carrots and capsicum. Cook for a few more minuets. Add can of tomatoes and stock. Bring to a simmer and cook till sauce thickens (i like to add more stock and cook for longer periods if I have the time also cubed or store bought stock is fine). If sauce has not thickened add a tea spoon of corn flour stirred into cold water. By this time the mash should be ready to, well, mash. Use butter (or olive oil) and season to taste. Add milk or cream and mash well. You want a slightly runnier mash then if you were going to have normally. Place lamb mixture in a suitable baking dish, even out. Put mash on top (carefully) and run over with a fork. Spread over grated cheese evenly. Place in a hot oven and cook till cheese is golden (around 30 mins) Enjoy! :-) If your in a rush. Make mash thicker, spread cheese and make it golden under a grill or salamander. If you do this. make sauce thicker too.Number of Servings: 1
