wash and cut okra and potatoes into 1" to 1.5" pieces. Mix together with cornmeal, salt, and pepper. I use a ziplock gallon size bag. Heat oil in skillet. Place about 1/3 of okra and potatoes in hot oil and cook until light to golden brown and repeat. Place cooked on papertowels to soak up the oil and serve hot. Makes 5-6 1 cup servings.
