We made 4 pretty large patties out of this recipe, but it could probably make 6 if they're smaller. We also did not put any condiments on this and did not eat it on a bun, since that's how stuffed burgers are often served in Greece. So even though the calories sound high, at least you're not adding more calories with condiments and bread! These have a lot of flavor and I think they're delicious! Also a good way to get veggie-haters to eat some veggies. They're hidden in meat and cheese :) What Course Is Greek Stuffed Burgers?Greek Stuffed Burgers is for Dinner. What Are The Ingredients For Greek Stuffed Burgers Recipe? The ingredients for Greek Stuffed Burgers are: 1 lb Ground beef (I used grass fed)3 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (adjust to taste or add/change spices if you wish) 5 oz Athenos Reduced Fat Feta Cheese (could certainly use less, but it comes in a 5 oz container and I used most of it), divided 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped, divided How Do I Make Greek Stuffed Burgers? Here is how you make Greek Stuffed Burgers: Chop pepper and set aside. I actually put about 1/3 of the pepper in a small food processor just to get it in tiny pieces for the beef mixture. Mix together ground beef, Worcestershire, about 1/3 of the pepper and 1/3 of the feta. Worcestershire can certainly be omitted or traded out for other spices/sauces according to taste. I usually mix burgers by hand. Form half of the beef mixture into 6 thin patties, and put on a plate or cookie sheet. Take the remaining pepper and feta, and place on top of the patties for stuffing. Then take remaining beef mixture and form into 6 more thin patties, placing them on top of the first 6 with piles of stuffing. Pinch edges together to form stuffed burger patties. Freeze for about an hour, just so they stick together when grilled. Grill until cooked through according to preferences. Variations:The first time we had stuffed burgers in Greece, they were actually stuffed with tomato and feta, which is also delicious, but we just wanted to try something new. You could also certainly EITHER mix feta and peppers into the beef OR stuff the patties with feta and peppers to save time, I just thought it would be good to do both and see how it turned out :)Also, clearly, ground turkey could be used also.Cheese and vegetables could also certainly be substituted. I just love stuffed burgers!Number of Servings: 4Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user TLV204.What's The Nutritional Info For Greek Stuffed Burgers? The nutritional information for Greek Stuffed Burgers is:
