What Are The Ingredients For Manda's Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe? The ingredients for Manda's Stuffed Bell Peppers are: Ground Turkey Breast 99% Fat Free - I used 2 packages (each pkg is 1.2 lbs)Onion, Diced Celery, Diced Mushrooms, Diced Spinach, Chopped Cabbage, Napa, Chopped 2 Cans Diced Tomatoes w/ Oregano, Garlic, Basil Bulgur - 1.5 cups 8 Bell Peppers (I used red and yellow, but great with green, too) How Do I Make Manda's Stuffed Bell Peppers? Here is how you make Manda's Stuffed Bell Peppers: Preheat oven to 350.Brown turkey in a few tbsp of Olive Oil. (I add some salt and pepper to the meat as it browns)Then add: onion, celery, mushrooms, cabbage, spinach, tomatoes (with juice). (I chop as I go and this gives each addition it's own time to combine with the rest). Then I add 1.5 cups bulgur to the meat/veggie mixture. (mix in the bulgur so that it incorporates into the "juice"). Cover. Turn to simmer. While meat/veggies simmer, slice off the tops of the bell peppers and put them in a rectangular casserole dish. I cut the "tops" up and add them to the top of the meat/veggie mixture so they can sort of steam. After the bulgur has had about 15-20 mins to absorb the liquid, transfer the mixture into each bell pepper. I make sure each pepper is filled and then stuff the extra in between the peppers or in the space left over. Bake for about 30 mins. For softer bell peppers, you can boil them for a short time before putting them in the casserole dish.Number of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user N2THELIGHT.What's The Nutritional Info For Manda's Stuffed Bell Peppers? The nutritional information for Manda's Stuffed Bell Peppers is:
