3c. pinto beans (or 2 cans, drained and rinsed)
1 can ro-tel tomatoes
water for desired consistency

Here is how you make Refried Beans:

Heat oil and add onions until translucent.Add garlic, saute for 1-2 minutes.Add chili, onion and garlic powders and roast for about 30 seconds. Add just enough water to make a thick paste out of the spices.Add beans and coat in mixture. Add rotel tomatoes and stir.Add enough water to just barely cover beans.Bring to boil, cover and simmer about 10 minutes.Remove lid and mash beans with potato masher until desired consistency.You can add more water if you like thinner beans.
