6 ears of sweet corn
6 hardboiled eggs
I full sleeve (about 40) saltines, crushed
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
2 refrigerated pie crusts for 9" pie
butter spray

Buttery Milk Sauce
1 quart non-fat milk
.5 stick of Butter
Salt and papper to taste


How Do I Make PA Dutch Corn Pie?

Here is how you make PA Dutch Corn Pie:

Hardboil 6 large eggs and set aside to cool. Cut corn from 6 ears of sweet corn or use about 4 to 6 cups of frozen corn. Carefully unroll one pie crust and line a 9" pie plate with it. Crush one sleeve of saltines and put about half in the bottom of the pie. Cover the saltines with about half of the corn. Spray with butter spray, season with salt and pepper. Peel the 6 eggs and slice 3 of them over the corn. Repeat the layers and cover all with the other pie crust, pressing the edges to seal. Bake in a 350 oven for about 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.Makes at least 6 servings.Best served with a hot milk, butter, salt and pepper mixture.
