1 lb salmon, cooked plainly, boned, chunked or flaked up into bite-sized pieces
2 slices yellow onion, chopped
2 carrots, med, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 slices bacon
2 T butter
2 C chicken broth
1 can evaporated milk or 1 C half & half
1 can cream corn
1 can new potatoes
2 t garlic seasoning
1 t Thyme
? t Anchovy paste

Here is how you make Salmon Chowder:

Fry bacon in a large stock pot. Set bacon aside when done. In bacon grease, add butter and saute onion, celery, and carrot until veggies are bright and onion is almost clear. Add ? C broth and simmer until all veggies are soft. Add the rest of the broth, corn, cream corn, potatoes, and seasonings. Add fish and stir. Bring to a low boil and add thickener (? C cold water shaken with 3T flour) and lower heat to simmer and add milk. Keep warm, but don't boil.Serve.Serving Size:?6 - 1C
