This makes 7 portions - two ladles per portionSoak the lentils and beans overnightPressure cook these for ten minutes until they are over done. Then whisk them until they are slightly creamy and mashed. Put oil in a pan and fry cumin seeds until they begin to crackle. Then add onions and paste and saute until golden brown. Add tomatoes and spices with half a cup of water and then simmer for ten minutes. Add dahl and simmer until thick and creamy. Mix in the chopped coriander to garnish.
