Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Transfer to large bowl and cool completely. 2. Add ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, and spices to onion and mix well. Cover and refrigerate up to 4 hrs. 3.
