How Do I Make Borscht?

Here is how you make Borscht:

Wash the beets and reserve the tops for later. Cover with water and Boil the beets for 15 minutes. Let them cool. (Save the water they cook in). Peel the beets with your hands the skins will fall off. Dice the beets bite size. Add it back into the water. Dice the Carots, and chop the onions it all goes in. I usually bake the potatoes in the microwave and then cut them bite size while the soup is boiling. Simmer for about 20 minutes more To serve. Add a few chunks of potato to a bowl.
