Here is how you make Summer Pea Soup:

Combine Parmesan cheese, butter, lemon peel, nutmeg and egg yolks. Beat until blended. Stir in milk.In a four to five quart pan combine chicken broth and pasta or rice. Cover and bring to a bowl. If using rice cook 20 minutes. If using pasta cook 6-10 minutes, depending on size.When rice or pasta if finished cooking add peas. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute for frozen peas and up to 6 minutes for fresh.Mix about 2 cups of hot soup into the cheese mixture, then return mixture to pan.
