I never make this recipe exactly the same way twice so feel free to adjust as you see fit. What Are The Ingredients For Beef and Bean Chili Recipe?The ingredients for Beef and Bean Chili are: 1t olive oil1 lb lean stewing beef, cut in 1/2" cubes. 1 yellow onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 pk Old El Passo taco or chili seasoning 1 lg stalk celery, chopped 1 cn mushroom stems and pieces, drained 1 cn Heinz chili style beans 1 cn red kidney beans 1 cn tomatoes, chopped (I use italian style) 1/2 C kernel corn 1/2 Red or Green Bell pepper, chopped How Do I Make Beef and Bean Chili?Here is how you make Beef and Bean Chili: If you have a good wok or heavy dutch oven that doesn't stick you probably won't need any oil - or perhaps just a spritz of Pam.Cube stewing beef if required. (my butcher never cuts it as fine as I like). Brown in pan.Add chopped onion and garlic and cook until onion is tender.Add celery, mushrooms and seasoning mix. If it's dry, add a bit of water but the natural liquids in the mushrooms and onions are usually enough for me.Stir through an let the spice mix simmer a bit.Add corn (optional - I only add this if I have some left over from another meal). Add chili beans, drained and rinsed kidney beans and tomatoes. Let simmer until it begins to thicken stirring often so it doesn't stick.About 10 minutes before ready to serve, add chopped peppers.Adjust seasonings as desired.
