2 cups water

Brown the ground beef until half done. Add the chopped onions, minced garlic and chopped celery. Continue cooking until the vegetables are softened and the beef is completely done.Add all of the beans and the tomatoes, Rinse the cans out with 1/2 can off water and add to the chili. Add all of the spices. Cook over medium-low heat for 45 minutes to meld the flavors together. Stir regularly to keep beans from sticking.Serve each bowlful with 2 tbsp. of shredded (sharp) cheese - not included in nutritional information.I cook mine without a lid on the pot, which helps the chili thicken. If you like it thicker, mix 3 tbsp flour with 1/2 cup cold water, stir well, and add to the chili.
