*3 small bay leaves
*Quinoa- 1 cup dry
*2 plum tomatoes
*Textured vegetable protein (TVP)- 1.5 cups dry
*Black beans, strained and rinsed- 3 cups
*Red kidney beans, strained and rinsed- 3 cups
*Tomato paste- 1 6oz can
*Tap water- 7 cups
*Molasses- 2 tbsp
*Reduced-sodium soy sauce- 2 tbsp
*Black pepper- 1 tbsp

Here is how you make Brittnie's Vegan Stovetop Quinoa Chili:

1) Soak the quinoa for 5 minutes, then rinse it in a strainer2) Prepare all of your vegetables as follows: -Dice the onion, celery, and bell peppers -Mince the garlic and habaneros3) Strain and rinse all of the beans4) Heat the olive oil in a large pot on medium-high heat.5) Add the garlic, celery, habaneros, and onions to the pot. Fry for about 5 minutes.6) Add the bell peppers and fry for an additional 5 minutes.7) Add all of the herbs and spices. Stir consistently for 2 minutes (a helping hand is useful here, if you have other ongoing food prep:-) ).8) Add the quinoa, beans, tomatoes, TVP, tomato paste, water, and molasses.
