1 ½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. prepared mustard
½ tsp. celery seed

6 hard boiled eggs, chopped (throw away 2 of the yolks)
4 cups cooked, diced potatoes (about 5)
1 ½ cup sliced celery
½ cup sliced green onions
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley


How Do I Make New Fashioned Potato Salad?

Here is how you make New Fashioned Potato Salad:

Scrub potatoes, leaving skins on, and place in large pot. Add 1 tsp. salt and bring to boil. When boiling, cover pot, reduce heat to medium and cook for 30 minutes. When done, remove from pan and cool.Mix all other ingredients except eggs and potatoes in a large bowl. Throw away 2 of the yolks of the hard boiled eggs, so you are left with 6 whites and 2 yolks. Chop and add to mayo mixture. When potatoes are cool, dice in large chunks and mix with mayo mixture. Refrigerate until cool.
