Put Pork Roast into Crock Pot Add Beer, green pepper and onionAdd any spices you like, I usually add garlic powder, onion powder , pepper and thyme or a bay leafSet to cook on low 8-10 hoursRemove and throw away bone and remove any visible fatShred meat ( I rinse my meat in a strainer to remove even more fat)Put meat and BBQ Sauce in a glass baking dish and cook at 350 for around 20-30 minutes ( just enough to get a crispiness to the BBQ sauce on the pork) Since the meat is already cooked you could skip this step but I find it really infuses the sauce with the meat.To make it even lower fat and to control your BBQ sauce portions you could just spoon the BBQ onto your sandwich.Put meat on toasted whole wheat bun and Enjoy~!Number of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user MELONY34.
