Cook the bacon over medium heat in a large pan until it begins to crisp. Add the shallot/onion and brown for 3-4 minutes.Add the Brussel sprouts and cook while stirring for 2 minutes. Add 1 tsp of olive oil, stir. Add 2-3 ice cubes to the pan and cover immediately. The ice cubes will melt and steam/braise the Brussel sprouts perfectly.
