Preheat oven to 425?F. Mix dry ingredients together. Add shortening, and cut into dry ingredients until it looks like cornmeal. Add milk, mix with fork or fingers until combined. Dump onto a floured surface. Roll out, fold, and roll out a few times, added a little flour as needed to keep it from sticking. Final roll out to 1" thick. Cut out with biscuit cutter or floured glass. Place into ungreased baking sheet or into pie pans.
