2 cups chopped butternut squash
1 cup chopped yam

1 tbsp mustard

Here is how you make Mac Squash the Cheese:

Heat oil in a medium sauce pan. Saute onion and garlic until the onion is soft. Add squash and yam and saute until quite soft. Remove from heat. Add ketchup, mustard, liquid, and margarine. Mix around until margarine melts. Using a hand blender, puree the sauce until nice and creamy. Add liquid to your consistency taste. Add salt and pepper to your taste. Mix in the noodles.
