1 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia Cabbage, fresh
3 large Onions, raw
2 tbsp Butter, salted
1 tbsp Curry powder
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
1 cup Milk, nonfat (skim milk)
7 g Plain white flour (UK)*note: I use about 1 Tbls flour. (I could not find the equivalent amount in Tbsp, in the calculator.)
*pinch salt


How Do I Make Linda's Curried Cabage?

Here is how you make Linda's Curried Cabage:

1) Chop the cabbage into coarse peices, and put it in a large pot to cook with the water and a pinch of salt. Cook it until fork tender. 2) While the cabbage cooks, chop the onions and fry them in the butter, until they become translucent. 3) Sprinkle the cooked onion with the curry powder and fry for about a minute. 4) Sprinkle on the flour, and stir to mix. Slowly add the milk, while stirring. Once the milk is stirred in, simmer the onions and sauce, until it becomes creamy and done. *You can add a bit more milk, if it looks too thick. 5) Pour the onions and sauce onto the cooked cabbage, and stir it to mix.
