Here is how you make Steamed Kale with Apples:

Makes 4 servingsChop onion into medium-sized pieces and set aside. Do the same with the apple, but keep it separate from the onion.Use a large saucepan with a lid. Pre-heat at medium-high.Add olive oil and coat pan bottom. Then add turmeric and stir. Cook turmeric for 30 seconds, then add onion, garlic and butter. Stir well and cover. Give another quick stir every minute.After 3 minutes, add apples and cinnamon. Continue stirring every minute, cooking at medium-high heat while covered to retain moisture. If required, add small amounts of water to keep the onions from sticking.Once onions start turning translucent, add kale and cover.
