1 package Birdseye Steam Fresh Whole Grain Brown Rice
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounce carton fresh mushroom, washed and sliced
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup parmesan cheese shredded
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tbs each Smart Balance Buttery Spread and olive oil


How Do I Make Easy Brown Rice Risotto?

Here is how you make Easy Brown Rice Risotto:

In large frying pan heat and mix margarine and oil. Addonions and garlic, saute until onions are translucent. Add mushrooms and saute til almost tender. Meanwhile cook the frozen rice in the microwave for three minutes. When out of microwave add to mushroom mixture and mix well in pan. Add peas and wine ( at this point you may need to add a tablespoon or so of water if rice is sticking). When well mixed season to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle top with cheese.
