8 tart apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
10 cups chopped, pitted, and peeled, peaches
1 tsp grated lemon zest
4 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
4 packages no-sugar needed fruit pectin


How Do I Make Peach-Apple Spread?

Here is how you make Peach-Apple Spread:

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT the pectin. Bring to boil over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and boil lightly while stirring constantly and mashing fruit pieces as they soften. Once mixture is completely cooked through and all fruit pieces or most of them are mashed, bring mixture to a rolling boil that does not stop or slow when stirred. Stir in one packet of fruit pectin at a time. Do a gel test before you can this mixture. Can in a water bath canner for 10 minutes or use a pressure cooker. Follow all instructions as indicated on the canning equipment that you choose to use. Yields a little over 14 half-pint jars. This will get you about 230 tablespoon servings.
